If you are interested in this LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) position, please contact MarTzha at 586-960-3872 or mhurtt@alinestaffing.com LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) Compensation The pay for this position is $24 - $26 per hour Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) Highlights This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs The required availability for this position is Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm Staying late until 6pm one day a week No weekends, call, or major holidays. LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) Responsibilities Provides general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. Assists with the preparation of equipment and aids physician during examination and procedures. Observes, records, and reports patients condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Administers prescribed medications as directed. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of specimen samples for testing. Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Records patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changes. Performs EKG and oximetry readings as required by physician. Obtains blood specimens from peripheral sites as needed and in accordance with OSHA and universal precautions. Phones in prescriptions and makes other patient calls as required or directed by physicians. Maintains patient files, records, and other information. Initiate IV fluids and IV therapeutic medications in accordance with LPN/LVN state nurse practice act LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) Requirements High School Diploma or GED Graduate from an accredited school for practical nursing. 0-3 years experience as a practical nurse. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Current LPN state license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in practicing state. Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
