Job Duties:
Compliance with overall nursing practice standards of the specialty area.
Compliance with standards/policies during assigned shift.
Supervising, assigning and directing activities of all licensed and unlicensed caregivers and support staff during their assigned shift.
Uses independent judgment to ensure optimal delivery of patient care and appropriate use of available resources.
Ensures that Longview Regional's values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operation.
Minimum Requirements:
Previous Cardiac/ Telemetry preferred
Dysrhythmia Interpretation Course preferred
Previous Critical Care Course preferred
Current Texas RN license or current Compact state license
AHA Healthcare provider BLS; ACLS required within 6 months of transfer or hire if not current.
Critical Care Level 1 obtained within first 6 months of hire
Advanced certifications and training in Critical Care Nursing preferred
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited RN program
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas, or license with a compact state required upon hire
Approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required within 90 days of hire.
Cardiac and Tele experience preferred.
