Performs clerical and receptionist duties relating to updating and organizing of information along with input of physician orders.# Working under the supervision of the charge nurse on duty, demonstrate the ability monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly notifying nursing staff with changes. The tech performs delegated duties consistent with his/her scope of practice related to direct patient care. Communicates in a clear and concise manner to RNs and medical staff. Verifies telemetry monitor alarm settings every shift and adjusting alarms only with RN direction and verification. Perform clerical duties related to patient intake, discharge, and transfer processes. Answer telephone, call lights, and EMS radio. Takes messages and communicate information to appropriate person. Provides general nursing care such as positioning patients, assisting in use of bedpan, commode, and ambulating patients as delegated. Reports patient complaint of pain to supervising RN. Able to effectively fax, scan and file patient information appropriately.## Skilled on computer and updating status board as patient changes occur.###################################### Helps promote an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors. Maintains a good working relationship within the department and with other departments. Attends education in-services and completes online learning modules, as assigned. Treat patient and families with respect and dignity. Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations. Regulatory Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent. Current BLS certificate. CNA preferred. EMT preferred.
