Equipment Operator

Martin Marietta is seeking a qualified<b>Equipment Operator </b>to work at our Slaughterhouse Recycle facility in Lakeside, CA. This position will safely operate various pieces of heavy equipment (front end loaders and dozers). This position will work the Day shift starting at 6am. <br> <br> <strong>Safety:</strong> <br> <ul> <li>Operate heavy equipment in a safe and efficient manner</li> <li>Work in all areas of the plant as needed</li> <li>Observe all safety precautions and rules specified by federal, state, and companyregulations</li> <li>Report unsafe conditions</li> <li>Report accidents or incidents immediately</li></ul> <strong>Operations:</strong> <br> <ul> <li>Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down time</li> <li>Perform a daily pre and post shift Inspection for equipment and work place and fill out inspection form</li> <li>Recognize contaminated material and report unusual conditions to supervisor</li> <li>Operate equipment to feed material into the plant</li> <li>Fuel and lube equipment as needed</li> <li>Some shoveling and manual labor required occasionally</li> <li>Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays</li></ul> <b>Position Requirements:</b> <br> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent</li> <li>Minimum of two to four years' experience operating similar equipment</li> <li>Ability to work overtime as needed, 6 - day work weeks are typical</li> <li>Frequently lift 10 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds</li> <li>Ability to climb up and down ladders</li> <li>Have some mechanical knowledge</li> <li>Need to be reliable on attendance and punctual</li> <li>Ability to communicate with other employees and share responsibilities</li> <li>Knowledge of environmental care and spill containment procedures</li> <li>Energetic, motivated and action oriented</li></ul><img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjEwODQyLjEyNTI0QG1hcnRpbm1hcmNvbXAuYXBsaXRyYWsuY29t.gif">
