Shift Hours: Full-Time, 7am-3pm
(This includes alternating weekends)

Responsibilities:

We are seeking an individual who is experienced and knowledgeable in stripping, waxing and buffing floors using safety precautions to properly carry out the procedures. Keeps floors clean and safe by dust mopping and wet mopping as necessary.

You will consistently demonstrate commitment to customer service excellence in all interactions with patients, family members, visitors and other staff members. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurse’s stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators and lobby areas.

Performs maintenance of all hospital floors to include, cleaning, stripping, waxing, and buffing on a routine basis.
Performs cleaning and shampooing of carpeted areas.
Maintains equipment in clean, working condition.
Expected to demonstrate proper use of chemicals and other supplies.
May be responsible for moving furniture and equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffing machines, bins of clean and dirty linen, bins of hospital garbage and contaminated waste.
Will be exposed to various types of chemicals. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs.

Provides a safe, sanitary and aesthetically pleasing environment by cleaning assigned areas of the facility, following established procedures and frequencies.

Specific Duties:

Assists in maintaining the quality and appearance of the physical plant by reporting repair issues and needs on a daily basis or as needed.
Keeps floors clean and safe by dust mopping and wet mopping as necessary.
Cleans and polishes all metal trim furnishing and/or equipment as necessary, as well as washes walls, windows and beds as assigned.
Strips, waxes and buffs floors as assigned using safety precautions to properly carry out the procedures.
Assists in moving furniture as requested.Replenishes supplies including soap, towels and toilet tissue, as well as other disposable items.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education & Experience (Including Licenses):

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
