Amex GBT Consulting is the consulting arm of American Express Global Business Travel, the leading Software and Services Company in the world. We’re now looking for an ambitious Communications and Content Manager to join our consulting team based in the US.

About the role:

You will deliver communication and content creation for a large enterprise hotel program. You will support and guide the customer and affiliate partners in an efficient, effective manner to achieve the objectives as set for the engagement SOW, within the agreed timelines and associated costs. You will enjoy interacting across a diverse range of subject matters – including strategic hotel category sourcing, help desk/support management, remittance management, BI analysis, marketing and communications, sustainability, social media content creation, stakpartneragement and spend management to name but a few.

You play a critical role in supporting and contributing to the communication infrastructure and strategy led by a Sr. Experience Manager while at the same time leading your own portfolio of multiple workstreams and communication initiatives. You’ll exude confidence being in front of customers regardless of their seniority and will be able to present and communicate well in all scenarios.

This Communication and Content Manager owns two key strategic categories, Communications and Content Creation.

Communications

This role will play a key part in supporting the Enterprise Client’s hotel program initiatives and objectives ensuring these initiatives are on time and result in increased adoption and usage. You will focus on supporting the people side of change – including changes to program processes, systems and technology by implementing communication strategies and plans that enhance adoption and minimize resistance.

What you’ll do

Support and drive communication strategies that increase proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.

Support, craft and deliver the overall communication approach driven by partner assessments, change management strategies, standard processes and materials related to the change. Client Initiatives include: process change, transition engagement planning and execution.

Understand and engage closely with a community of diverse client partners that have competing priorities while understanding the impact of the change to each partner group and various personas.

Partner closely with the client’s internal communication team to draft targeted communications and campaigns, recommend best in class communication strategies and determine the best communication vehicles to disseminate messages.

Apply new/innovative techniques and introduce new channels and content that enhance the traveler experience, produce cost savings related to traveler behavior and promotes operational efficiency.

Proactively identify risk and potential issues by providing relevant communication strategy inputs and status updates.

Content Creation

This role will also write and publish various types of pieces for the client’s hotel program web portal including industry updates, informational articles, FAQs and promote the program on social media. Ultimately, you will help reach the client’s target audience by delivering both useful and appealing online information about the client’s hotel content, rates and products.

What you’ll do

Research hotel industry-topics, Interview industry professionals and incorporate their views in distribution channels.

Identify customers’ needs and recommend new innovative and relevant topics and content.

Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles.

Prepare well-structured drafts using social media promoting content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares).

Edit and proofread written pieces before publication.

Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates).

What We’re looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications Management, Marketing or related field.

Must be a US citizen.

In depth knowledge of complex cross functional Government sector environment is a plus.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for new business. You’ll be asked to share samples of your work (portfolio or links to published articles) as part of the interview process.

3-5 years’ client facing experience, preferable in consulting.

Experience supporting and driving business transformation initiatives from a communications perspective.

Should have the ability to analyze data sets & find opportunities for improvement and drive data-driven decision making.

Continuous improvement approach with a passion for driving positive change and achieving measurable results.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and collaborate with partners at all levels of the organization.

Collaborative, energetic, flexible and can-do attitude. You'll be able to rally people together from within the client organization through to internal resources in order to get things done.

Critical thinker and contributor that thrives on working in an innovative environment that champions knowledge sharing and team collaboration.

Analytically minded, understands data with ease and is comfortable in its transformation into insights and conclusions.

Location

United States

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
