SUMMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
The Engineering Program Manager is responsible for managing Engineering and QA issues during the development and sustaining business at customer accounts for NMBTC.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Program & Team Support - Support Account Managers, manufacturer's representatives, and Business Unit Manager
  • Communications -
    • Responsible for being the main technical and project contact for customers, design center, factories, and other stakeholders involved.
    • Act as a main point of contact for customer's Engineering and QA staff and NMB's Engineering and QA teams
  • Communication & Closure -
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on assigned projects by providing guidance and support to all team members
    • Owner of communication and closure related to all Engineering issues between the NMB engineering division, factory, and customers
    • Ability to prepare and deliver presentations on project status risk and findings to key stakeholders including customers and upper NMB management.
  • Product Design - Cooperatively design solutions with customers considering both internal NMB Design and Production Engineering requirements and customer requirements AND/OR
    • Produce information to NMB Engineering teams regarding customer product application and design requirements during product design.
    • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, ensuring all milestones are met according to schedule.
  • Quality Issue Resolution - Drive closure for all quality issues with both customer and internal NMB stakeholders
  • Technical Support - Provide information to customers regarding product and technology as related to NMB production capabilities, design for manufacturing, and other business unit initiatives
    • Support customer Engineering and Quality audits at the factory by preparing members for customer expectations
    • Provide technical support to identify new applications and coordinate with the engineering teams, application engineers, factory, marketing, and sales staff on the development of customer applications.
  • Process Improvements - Identify process improvements, make recommendations, and implement resolutions.
    • Track project progress and performance identifying and resolving any roadblocks along the way
  • Product Development - Work with account managers, customers, and NMB internal groups, factories, and Minebea Headquarters to identify customer needs and solutions
    • Stay up to date on the latest industry trends and best practices, evaluate opportunities to introduce Minebea products to potential new customers.
  • Relationship Development - Nurture relationships at all levels with the customer.
    • Visit customers regularly, either independently - in coordination with the sales team, for interactive customer engineering discussions
  • Other - Perform other duties as related to the job function as required
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES:
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of engineering experience in a related field
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional and international organization
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, drawing/design software preferably Solid Works, Minitab statistical software
  • Preferred solid knowledge of ball and roller bearings, grease tribology.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
  • English language skills
SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:
No supervisory qualifications are required for this position.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
A normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around an office, and ability to conduct a normal amount of work on a computer.
SALARY
At NMB, the pay band for this role is between $95,643.00 and $143,465.00 annually, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The base pay is a part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range of the pay band process.
