Endpoint Security Engineer

Contract opportunity with a growing company for an Endpoint Security Engineer to handle patching and security remediation on-site at one of their locations in the York area. Our client is ready to hire ASAP and you could be working on this project next week!
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of implementing and optimizing our security measures, focusing on patch management and remediation across our network. Your expertise with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 will be crucial as you work to protect our assets and data from evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities:

• Endpoint Security Management: Lead the deployment, configuration, and management of endpoint security solutions, particularly Microsoft Defender and other security tools within Microsoft 365.
• Patch Management: Develop and execute a robust patch management strategy to ensure timely and effective application of security patches and updates.
• Security Remediation: Identify, assess, and remediate security vulnerabilities and incidents. Implement best practices to mitigate risks and enhance the overall security posture.
• Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and effectiveness of security measures.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor endpoint security status, generate reports on security incidents and vulnerabilities, and provide actionable insights for improvement.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Microsoft Defender and Microsoft 365 security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of patch management processes and security remediation practices.
• Familiarity with endpoint protection technologies and methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
