1 Year of recent tractor trailer driving experience
No more than 2 moving violations in the previous 2 years
Not cited for a D.O.T. defined accident in the previous 3 years
No serious offenses in the previous 2 years or pattern of unsafe practices
TWIC TANKER and HAZ endorsements would be helpful for additional success
Meet the medical examination requirements.
Has no loss of foot, leg, hand, arm (or has been granted a skill performance certificate)
Doesn’t have a diagnosis of medical history of epilepsy or other conditions that could cause a driver to lose consciousness while driving.
Has no current clinical diagnosis of alcoholism.
Can see well enough at a distance and can tell the difference in light colors.
Meets hearing standards and can pass a hearing test.
Does not use narcotics, amphetamines or any other illegal drugs (Prescribed drugs cant interfere with driving either).
