**Description**

The Transportation Load Planner is responsible for using the Transportation Management System (TMS) tool to plan loads ensuring timely pickup and delivery service levels while sustaining positive financial results. This role provides transportation services to Refresco Beverages internal and external customers with the high standard of professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness.

**MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:**

- Plan and tender inbound and outbound full truckload deliveries/loads via the TMS with transportation service providers for your assigned locations.

- Consistently meet or exceed freight budget goals and/or market basket freight rate comparisons. This includes communicating issues related to delivery lead time and load payloads.

- Consistently leverage and monitor TMS tools to ensure service failures are minimized, or communicated appropriately.

- Ensure carriers are in compliance with TMS guidelines.

- Timely and accurately resolution of rate request changes, accessory charge additions, and invoice discrepancies.

- Schedule pick-up appointment times as required.

- Build consistent relationships and communications with customer service, product supply and material planners regarding topics they have a requirement to know.

- Build consistent relationships and communications with transportation service providers and be knowledgeable of their strengths and weaknesses.

- Efficiently coordinate transportation service providers with varying shipment types including dry truckload, refrigerated truckload, intermodal, less-than-truckload, tanker and hazardous materials.

- Maintain confidentiality of company information.

**EDUCATION:**

- High school diploma or GED required

- Bachelor degree in Business, Logistics or Transportation preferred

- Minimum 2 years of business experience preferred

- SAP and TMS experience preferred

**COMPUTER & TECHNICAL SKILLS:**

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word

- Understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software/systems, such as SAP 6.0

- Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
