System Engineer (Operations)

Position Summary: MFA IS&T seeks a skilled Systems Engineer to join the Infra Ops team, reporting to the team manager. This role involves providing systems level support and 24x7 operations for infrastructure, crucial for the MFA's medical enterprise. The ideal candidate will be an expert in Microsoft services, cloud strategies, networking, and automation, with extensive experience in Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and migrate on-premises workloads to the cloud.
- Administer Windows OS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and SQL.
- Manage infrastructure, monitoring, patching, and security.
- Support hybrid and native cloud infrastructure models.
- Assist in reconfiguring on-premises servers for cloud migration.
- Implement SAN infrastructure and data footprint planning.
- Contribute technical expertise to infrastructure roadmap.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve incidents.
- Maintain a knowledgebase and documentation for system configuration.
- Provide guidance and support to IS&T team members.
- Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
- Cloud Certification (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
- CSEP, MCSE/MCSA, CompTIA A+/Security+ certifications are pluses.
- Minimum 7 years' experience preferred in hybrid or native cloud environments.
- Minimum 7 years' experience preferred in Systems Engineering.
- Experience with VMware Horizon, Active Directory, and Windows servers.
- Proficiency in Azure AD, SAN, and network administration.
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.).
- Strong system migration and IT project management skills.
- Healthcare IT experience strong preferred, Epic experience preferred a plus.
