Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensure that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

1. dig holes or trenches for foundations, posts, poles, or related items
2. read blueprints
3. use measuring devices in construction or extraction work
4. design construction projects
5. plan construction of structures or facilities
6. climb ladders, scaffolding, or utility or telephone poles
7. drive automobile, van, or light truck
8. maintain records, reports, or files
9. move or lift heavy objects
10. plan or organize work
11. read technical drawings
12. use interpersonal communication techniques
13. confer with management or users
14. direct and coordinate activities of workers or staff
15. adhere to safety procedures
16. analyze operation of malfunctioning electrical or electronic equipment
17. construct or fabricate electrical parts or fixtures
18. inspect electrical installation for code conformance
19. inspect transformer for defects
20. install electrical conduit or tubing
21. install electrical fixtures or components
22. install lead-in wires to control boxes and other components
23. install/connect electrical equipment to power circuit
24. install/string electrical or electronic cable or wiring
25. lay out electrical wiring for buildings, etc.
26. maintain electrician's tools or equipment
27. plan layout of electrical/electronic equipment installation
28. repair electrical transformers
29. repair electronic components, equipment, or systems
30. repair or replace electrical wiring, circuits, fixtures, or equipment
31. solder electrical or electronic connections or components
32. splice electric cable
33. splice electric or communications trunk lines
34. test electrical/electronic wiring, equipment, systems or fixtures
35. test electronic or electrical circuit connections
36. use electrical line repair equipment
37. use oscilloscopes in electronics repair
38. install electronic power, communication, control, or security equipment or systems
39. install or replace meters, regulators, or related measuring or control devices
40. replace electronic components
41. fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand
42. bend tubing or conduit
43. read tape measure
44. use electrical or electronic test devices or equipment
