Electrical Engineer

Harrison Gray Search has partnered with a world-class automation manufacturer, in the medical industry, looking to add an Electrical Engineer to their team.

Electrical Engineer General Summary: 

Responsible for all stages of electrical design. Help assist sales and application engineering team with defining project scope as well as installations. 10-15% travel may be required. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but is not limited to:

1. Creation of electrical circuit drawings 

2. Develop machine wiring diagrams 

3. Creation and Maintenance of BOM's 

4. Complex layout/design of electrical equipment 

5. Component selection including drives, servos, HMIs, cameras, and robots. 

6. Size wires, fuses, circuit breakers, etc. 

7. Complex related Electrical Engineering calculations 

8. Create I/O, cable, motor lists 

9. Create installation data, task lists

10. Creates the electrical engineering project plan 

11. Participation in installation and start-up 

12. Checking of circuit drawings, layouts, and bills of materials 

13. Participate in customer contact

Qualifications: 

1. Firm understanding of the UL, UL 508A, NFPA and NEC codes

2. Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) from four-year college or university; minimum of three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

3. AutoCAD skills required, AutoCAD Electrical preferred 

4. Electrical Circuit Troubleshooting skills required
