Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented EIT (Engineer-in-Training) Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in civil engineering principles, be proficient with engineering software, and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth. As an EIT Civil Engineer, you will work under the guidance of licensed professional engineers to support various projects, including site development, transportation, water resources, and structural engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and analysis of civil engineering projects, including site layouts, grading, drainage, roadways, and utilities.
  • Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
  • Conduct field investigations, surveys, and inspections to collect data and assess project conditions.
  • Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support project designs and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop innovative solutions and deliver high-quality results.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, and presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation of permit applications and coordination with regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in project meetings, site visits, and client interactions as needed.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance technical knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • 2 years or more experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
