SUMMARY OF POSITION :

Light of Life Rescue Mission is recruiting a Food Truck Supervisor to manage its mobile food service for outreach events. This social enterprise, branded as Rescue Dogs is most active in warm weather months. The role performs all day-to-day Food Truck operations. The position is unique in being a liaison between the Manager of Food Services, Operations Leadership, other staff members, and customers. During the 'off-season', the Food Truck Supervisor assists other roles in food service and the donation center.

JOB AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Oversees all operations and management of the food truck, including:
    1. Opening and closing the food truck, inventory management, stocking, and cleaning the trailer before and after business operations.
    2. Preparing daily schedules for those working on the food truck.
    3. Recruiting volunteers and working with the clients of Light of Life.
    4. Coordinating and increasing venues for the food truck to operate.
    5. Accounting of inventory, sales, donations, and expense tracking
    6. Performing window service, including taking food orders and purchase transactions
  2. Leads the planning to generate and grow sales through various activities while adjusting services and offerings based on market response and demand.
  3. Exercises command authority over establishing food truck processes and building capability and training to establish profitable and sustainable business
  4. Collaborates with program leadership for developing life skills of those enrolled in Light of Life employment coaching.
  5. Primary responsibilities during the food truck 'off-season' include the following:
    1. Development of the next season's Enterprise Plan including events, staffing, equipment upgrades, and maintenance.
    2. Assist the operations and hospitality of the organization's Programs as directed by Outreach and Shelter leadership.
    3. Assist the operations and hospitality of the Kitchen, Food Pantry, and Donation Center under the leadership and scheduling of supervisors in those areas.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Extensive experience on food truck preferred
  • ServSafe certification, or willingness and ability to certify
  • Strong marketing and sales background
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience managing staff
  • Budget and planning experience
  • Valid PA driver's license with clean driving record
  • Experience driving cargo van, pick-up truck, or box truck a plus
  • Proficient in Office365 and cloud-based software
