Via is hiring a Production Assistant to provide assistance to Via's Production Manager, Instructors, and Prevocational team by ensuring Borenson contract work is organized and distributed to groups. The position will assist with specific production-related duties such as quality management, workflow, and vendor relationships. Responsible for managing product inventory and acting as a back-up for the Production Manager.

Position Responsibilities Include:
  • Complete all daily Borenson orders, as well as any larger distributor or Amazon orders.
  • Conduct a daily general inventory to determine what supplies Borenson needs to complete through Uline and other vendors.
  • Conduct a weekly inventory of Borenson components and report any discrepancies or needs to the Borenson contact.
  • Oversee quality management for instructors and participants working on Borenson products.
  • Organize job materials, including oversight of all Borenson products and materials that are stored at Via, maintaining the appropriate square footage of Borenson's rental within the Pre-Vocational Workshop.
  • Prepare completed work orders for shipment to various customers as needed.
  • When needed, assist with UniqueSource shredding contract, including providing support to participants as needed.
  • Assist with coverage of prevocational floor operations, as needed, such as assigning work, organizing materials, and ensuring workflow is completed efficiently.
  • Assist with Pre-Vocational department coverage needs when daily Borenson orders are complete.
  • Provide all phases of personal care for participants under Productions Assistant's direct supervision for the day when providing coverage needs.
  • During times of an influx of production work or rapid work turnaround, assist with production work and quality checks.
  • Maintain a knowledge base of current best practices in the delivery of Pre-Vocational Supports for individuals with disabilities.
Position Requirements Include:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Production, order fulfillment, and/or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, personal vehicle, appropriate vehicle insurance, and clean driving record.
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Must possess the ability to work under pressure and to manage multiple tasks, with flexibility to meet changing needs and priorities as they occur.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to exercise discretionary judgment and handle difficult situations calmly, graciously, and constructively.
  • Knowledge and experience using computers and related software including Microsoft Office and Excel.
