We are currently seeking a ETL Developer - Ab Initio to join our team in Remote, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).
Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate Data Integration Engineer to join our Strategic Platform Engineering team within Chief Technology Office to help bring speed and innovation in data ingestion, data preparation and analysis to solve some of pressing health care problems in our state. In this role you are responsible for engineering data integration solutions on our cloud data warehouses and data lakes while delivering agility and cost optimization. To be successful in this role you will need to be creative in problem-solving and flexible in learning new skills/technologies to contribute towards our company mission i.e. "To improve the health and well-being of our customers and communities".

You Will:
  • Require an insatiable appetite for continuous learning and applying new technologies to solve business problems.
  • Independently perform analysis, design and development of solution deliverables.
  • Support the analysis, design and development of high volume, low latency data integration for mission critical systems delivering high-availability and performance to best meet customer needs.
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code/scripts/ETLs to support varied IT solutions
  • Perform all necessary discovery and fact finding to fully understand business problems and opportunities and execute all assignments with limited supervision.
  • Provide input into solution buy vs. build recommendations to management when requested.
  • Effectively communicate development and production issues to the project team, applicable vendors and/or the manager in a timely manner.
  • Research and stay abreast of technology trends and IT best practices, with a focus on continuous learning and possible application to the business.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other STEM related major
3+ years direct development experience in following :
  • AWS Cloud experience
  • At least one data integration/ETL/ELT technology (eg Qlik/Attunity Replicate, Qlik Compose, Streamsets, Nifi, Informatica, AbInitio, Talend or similar) AND
  • Any one data warehouse or data lake platform eg Snowflake, Teradata, Hadoop AND
  • Intermediate skill in at least one development language (eg Python (preferred), Java).
  • Good understanding of data warehouse (eg type-1 and type-2 data, star schema etc) and intermediate SQL programming and data analysis skills.
  • If no degree, 5 years of the experiences listed above.
  • If Master's degree in STEM or related major, 1 year of experience as listed above.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large and complex data sets
  • Experience collaborating effectively with vendors and business partners for solution.

  • Unix scripting experience.
  • Be able to work in Agile or Waterfall model.
  • Good understanding of DevOps with Jenkins, Github etc.
  • Experience with a major relational database management system preferred (i.e. DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake).
Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $58-$70/hr. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance.
