Advises and recommends to the Service Manager or Location Manager regarding technician skills and training needs.Responsibilities - Working Shop Foreman:Assists with the assignment of jobs and work areas to Service Department employees according to their skills and knowledgeAssists in the appraisal of repair orders coming into the Service Department and may participate in repairs. May review repair orders for accuracy and completenessDirects and assists in the diagnosis of machine problems of technicians and apprenticesRequired to bill a portion of workday time on work orders and assist in repairs as necessary and as directed.Recommends new tooling as requiredAdvises Service Manager of all customer complaintsCoordinates and schedules all in-house technician trainingAssists the Service Manager with coordinating and conducting quarterly safety meetingsMay fill the Service Manager role in their absenceMay arrange for and participate in reconditioning of used equipment and set-up of new equipmentMay approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customerMay assist in providing performance feedback for service technicians to the Service ManagerResponsible for other duties as assigned by your managerRequirementsExperience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge:3+ years experience as a Service TechnicianAgriculture Industry/Ag equipment experience is a requirementAbility to lead othersFamiliar with John Deere and competitive productsAbility to write and speak effectively to individuals and groupsAbility to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsHigh School Diploma or equivalent experienceForklift license preferredLandPro Equipment is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
