Position: Driver
Job Summary:
The Driver is responsible for safely transporting clients who are unable to transport themselves. 2. The Driver ensures that vehicles are clean and in good working order prior to transporting clients. 3. The Driver communicates effectively with their supervisor and the clients to ensure that the clients are transported to the appropriate destinations in a timely manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Driver complies with LBHS policies and procedures and obeys all federal and state traffic laws.
Transporting Phase 0 and Carbondale clients to group & individual counseling, case management appointments, medical appointments, the grocery store, and Peer Center.
Transporting all other clients to appointments only if they are unable to secure their own transportation.
The Driver ensures that vehicles are clean prior to transporting clients. They are issued fleet accounts for the Car Wash and ensure that the van is cleaned once every two weeks.
The Driver is responsible for a monthly maintenance log. They report maintenance issues in a timely manner and ensure that the vehicle is safe to operate.
The Driver responds appropriately to vehicular emergencies (ex. Flat tire, car accidents, et.) appropriately, maintaining professionalism and contacting their supervisor immediately.
Knowledgeable of the safety protocol and addresses safety concerns with their supervisor.
Maintains courteous and respectful communication with staff and clients. Is mindful of the privacy of clients.
Completes required training in a timely manner.
Conduct themselves at a high standard of professionalism and abides by the LBHS Code of Conduct of Ethical Behavior.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience/Abilities:
Valid Ohio Driver's License. Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug screen.
Required Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
