A closer look at WHAT IT TAKES As an Electrical Build Leader at VDL Steelweld, you oversee the entire electrical assembly process, from preparation to in-company and customer buy-offs. Your role involves studying plans, ensuring material availability, and executing wiring, adjustments, and installations according to client specifications. You ensure safe and accurate assembly, including managing cable routing and troubleshooting issues. Your expertise in industrial wiring, from low (24VDC) to medium voltage (600VAC), is crucial in delivering high-quality, functional installations that meet all safety standards. The goal is to oversee the execution of the electrical build, integration, and installation of tooling and complete robotic production lines in accordance with customer specifications. In consultation with the Manufacturing Manager, you supervise and lead skilled contractors assigned to an assembly area. Additionally, you provide professional support and guidance to contractors and suppliers as needed. Some of the responsibilities: Preparing, supervising and executing the electrical build process; Wiring, adjustment, checking, and commissioning of tools and complete installations at VDL Steelweld in accordance with customer and VDL Steelweld specifications; Check, adjust, test tools in terms of electrical performance, quality and functionality; Maintain an on-time assembly line preparation along with the Manufacturing Manager; Monitor the quality and quantity of the work of individual employees; Guiding, directing, controlling and motivating internal/external contractors; Review the details of the BOM, drawings, and schematics for project understanding and knowledge. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong supervisory and leadership skills; Knowledge of safe electrical installation practices. Do you have the EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE? Minimum 7 years’ experience in tooling electrical assembly and assembly line manufacturing environment.
