ARGON MEDICAL DEVICES IS NOT LEVERAGING SEARCH FIRMS Position Overview: Overall responsibility for directing and coordinating activities of production department in processing materials or manufacturing products to achieve all production demands. Direct responsibility for improving overall systems used in producing these products to maximize labor, materials, and equipment. To assure an optimum production environment by directing through subordinates the installation, maintenance, and repair of all utilities, building systems, machinery, tools, and equipment. Serve as member of the facility staff. What you will do: Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors. Coordinate production activities with purchasing, sales, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment. Evaluate master production schedule and adjust production capacity to attain service levels. Generate cost savings through process improvements and labor reduction activities. Maintain cGMP compliant production operation. Attend facility meetings and educate others on the staff about current manufacturing doctrines (lean, Kaizen Events). Provide input into the monthly financial forecast (Labor, Absorption, Spending). Direct and coordinate, through subordinate supervisory personnel, production of all products. Work closely with quality group to ensure manufactured products are produced in accordance with approved specifications, drawings, and other documents. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods. Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements and workflow, design of layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Train and develop subordinate supervisory personnel. Supervisory responsibilities: Responsible for the management of all production employees in department. Communicate openly and often with cross-functional management staff to evaluate production process needs, resolve problems and obstacles, provide resources, reset direction, and maximize effective interactions and functioning. Constructively challenge, and actively participate in, management decision-making processes related to strategic and tactical business issues. Articulate vision/strategy to company leaders, peers and subordinates and gain commitment as well as influence behaviors to drive results. Effectively drive teamwork up, across and down the organization to deliver results. Skills for Success: Bachelor's degree or relevant experience and training. 5-8 years related experience in Medical Device or medical manufacturing, Material management, a plus. Proven success in implementation of improvement initiatives such as lean, Kanban, 5S, Visual Management, etc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
