Engineering Project Manager

This person will provide support company's growth strategy significant investments need to be made to strengthen the basic infrastructure of the company (processes, systems, equipment, and people). The Corporate Project Manager is a new role that is critical to the success of the company. Their primary mission will be to plan, execute and evaluate major capital projects within company against predetermined timelines and budgets.
Position Overview
* This position will long term include key responsibilities such as:
o Lead significant project teams across the company
o Coach other project teams on the proper use of project management tools
o Dive into key project issues (as requested) to bring forth solutions and ensure projects stay on schedule & within budget
o Track and routinely report status of key projects they are involved in
o Provide recommendations to senior leadership about schedules, prioritization of key projects, selection of project leaders and resources, etc.
This person will over see three location. New Jersey and New York State.
Job Requirements
Desired Education and Experience
* Highly experienced project manager with 10+ years of experience, preferably in a food or packaging manufacturing operation.
* Proven track record of planning and successfully executing both small and large-scale complex projects.
* Has a thorough understanding and practical application of project management best practices
* Excellent analytical, problem solving, time management planning skills and experience with the latest project management and team collaboration software.
* Track record in collaborating with and influencing leaders across all functions and levels of the company
* BA/BS in Engineering, with recent certification in PMP and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Must have experience with capital projects and Capex.
