The Security Associate's responsibilities are to monitor activities to ensure patrons are not engaging in illegal activities, along with ensuring the safety of all patrons and DraftKings staff. With knowledge of surveillance operations, this individual will make a daily impact on the DraftKings brand.

What you’ll do as the Security Associate
  • Ensures that the DraftKings retail sportsbooks and office locations are provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.

  • Ensure smooth operation of Security Operations Center by following established policies and procedures and Internal Control policies and procedures.

  • Communicates effectively with the security teams between site(s). 

  • Operate various access control and video management/closed-circuit television (CCTV) technology to monitor and review sportsbook activities, archive video evidence, and monitor the system for malfunctions.

  • Proactively monitor all sportsbook areas and personnel to promote accountability with policies and procedures, identify suspicious activity, and deter fraud and theft. Escalate observations to management when needed.

  • Proactively observe and review video then complete required documentation regarding specific incidents including but not limited to guest complaints, procedure violations, risk management issues, theft, and variances.

  • Maintain and improve knowledge of company policies, procedures, and threats in all areas which surveillance is responsible for monitoring through training and professional development. Assists in continuous departmental training and new hire training.

  • Cooperate with the local Gaming Authority and coordinate with and/or assist outside law enforcement agencies as necessary. 

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of surveillance operations information, reports, incidents, and any non-public information learned as an employee.

  • Conduct himself/herself in a professional and courteous manner which reflects positively on the company.

What you’ll bring
  • At least one year of gaming and/or surveillance experience desired but not required

  • Detailed knowledge of local gaming regulations desired but not required.

  • Previous experience working in 24x7x365 Security Operations Center desired but not required.

  • Sound judgment

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Google Drive

  • Obtain required license(s)

  • Ability to work varied 12 hour shifts, to include nights, weekends, and holidays

The US hourly rate for this full-time position is $18.46 - $27.70, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
