DescriptionEMIT Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for the comprehensive management of facility operations within a manufacturing environment. This role involves overseeing facility maintenance, custodial services, groundskeeping, machinery upkeep, capital projects, forklift maintenance, budgeting, forecasting, cost savings, and vendor relationships. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as a thorough understanding of facility management in a manufacturing setting.Key Responsibilities:Oversee the operation and maintenance of all facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.Develop and enforce facility maintenance protocols and schedules.Manage and supervise custodial staff to ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.Establish and monitor cleaning procedures and schedules to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.Supervise groundskeeping activities to maintain the exterior of the facility, including landscaping and snow removal.Ensure that outdoor maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner.Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing machinery and equipment.Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule regular inspections and minimize production downtime.Manage capital improvement projects such as facility upgrades, renovations, and expansions.Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.Supervise the maintenance and repair of forklifts and other material handling equipment.Ensure adherence to safety regulations and conduct regular inspections.Develop and manage the facility maintenance budget, including forecasting and tracking expenses.Prepare financial reports related to maintenance and facility operations.Identify and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining operational efficiency.Analyze maintenance and operational costs to identify opportunities for cost reduction.Implement strategies to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or safety.Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.Negotiate contracts, oversee service agreements, and ensure vendor performance meets established standards.Lead, train, and develop the facility maintenance team.Promote a collaborative and safety-conscious work environment.Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and comply with relevant regulations and standards.Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and vendor services.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in facility management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical systems.Experience in developing maintenance budgets and overseeing new equipment installs.Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety practices.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with various departments and external partners.We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome candidates from all backgrounds.
