Director, Corporate Transportation

Discover an exciting opportunity with Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM) as we seek a Director of Corporate Transportation to join our team at our headquarters in Carlisle, PA. In this role, you'll play a key part in developing and implementing distribution and transportation strategies, refining models, procedures, and processes. Your role will involve overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of distribution and transportation activities to ensure seamless operations within the business. <br> <br>Other Duties and Responsibilities: <br> <br>* Leads development and implementation of distribution and transportation policies, development of models, procedures, and processes for planning of distribution and transportation activities. <br>* Takes responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organizational strategy. <br>* Takes responsibility for developing and delivering change management plans and achieving outcomes that support the organization's overall strategy. <br>* Develops and gains agreement to annual business plans for the transportation function, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantifies business outcomes (i.e., revenues or other key performance indicators); details expense and headcount budgets; and develops business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration. <br>* Communicates the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values; clarifies the actions needed to implement it within the area of responsibility; motivates people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals. <br>* Creates, develops and maintains strategic supplier relationships to help ensure available transportation capacity and required service level to meet our needs at the most competitive cost, to deliver the Carlisle Experience to customers. <br>* Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and legal requirements (DOT, Customs / Trade Agreements, etc.) <br>* Supports the overall organizational strategy by developing and delivering operational plans and outcomes for a large portion of the business. <br> <br>Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge: <br> <br>* Effective written and verbal communication skills. <br>* Strong planning and organization skills. <br>* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. <br>* Strong negotiation skills to negotiate freight pricing and capacity agreements. <br>* Knowledge of policies, procedures, and regulations. <br>* Ability to lead and supervise others effectively. <br> <br>Education and Experience: <br> <br>* Bachelors Degree <br>* Minimum of 10 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics and/or Supply Chain roles. <br>* Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience as a people leader. <br> <br>Travel Requirement: <br> <br>* 25% travel required, visit plants, visit freight <br> <br>Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/Disabled<img src="https://counter.adcourier.com/YmJnZW5lcmljLjk3NTYxLjEyNTI0QGNhcmxpc2xlY2l0Y29tcC5hcGxpdHJhay5jb20.gif">
