What we're looking for: We are seeking a motivated professional responsible for leading RSNA Corporate Relations activities to maximize society revenue; oversee the development and execution of advertising, sponsorship, technical exhibits sales and corporate sales programs; manage tradeshow operations at society’s annual meeting; provide customer-centric approach to serving corporate partners, staff and volunteers; and coach and supervise Corporate Relations staff to achieve society goals.

What you'll do:
  • Lead strategic planning activities to maximize RSNA corporate relationships, engagement and revenue. On an annual basis, assess short-term and long-term needs and develop specific goals and objectives.
  • Administer corporate relations and exhibition budget process, inclusive of forecasting revenue, monitoring expenditures, reconciling invoices, and identifying cost-saving processes.
  • Oversee development, planning, execution and evaluation of corporate relationships and sales. Identify corporate needs and match sales of appropriate opportunities across sponsorship, advertising, technical exhibits, live events and fundraising to maximize revenue for the society.
  • Oversee the management of all tradeshow operations including, but not limited to, exhibitor application process, onsite space selection, floor plan management, exhibitor logistics, booth activities, marketing, and exhibitor communications.
  • Prepare or supervise the development of sponsorship opportunities, contracts, grants, and proposals. Ensures compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines including ACCME Standards for Commercial Support.
  • Use data to inform decision making regarding sponsorship offerings, annual meeting polices, and attendee experiences; work closely with business intelligence team to gather data, assess customer needs, identify gaps, identify benchmarks and metrics for evaluation.
  • Work with cross-departmental teams, including marketing, meeting & exhibition services, education, program services, international affairs, and product innovation to successfully implement and launch corporate programs.
  • Collaborate with department leaders across RSNA including education, program services, product innovation, and international affairs to identify new opportunities that are appropriate for corporate support, develop programs, and secures funding.
  • Manage Corporate Partners program and coordination of advertising, sponsorship, technical exhibits, and fundraising activities for corporate recognition. Oversees administration of record-keeping, recognition and benefits. Maintain and implement department timelines, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Work with R&E Foundation, meetings & exhibition Services, executive office and other departments to coordinate efforts and present a unified voice and customer service approach to companies. Oversee customer relationship management and data integration across all organization and corporate contacts.
  • Monitor industry news and trends to identify new customers, key decision makers, corporate changes, and other factors that may impact RSNA.
  • Keep up to date on meeting trends and technologies. Utilize new technologies where appropriate to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve the attendee/exhibitor meeting experience.
  • Assist in the preparations of annual meetings RFP specifications, analyze, recommend selection and oversee contracting of service contractors. Manage relationships between RSNA and outside vendors who provide support on exhibition and sponsorship offerings.
  • Develop reports for the Board of Directors, Committees, and staff as requested.
  • Supervise or directly handle hiring, training, developing, and evaluating corporate relations staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 7 or more years of experience in corporate relations or exhibition management
  • Successful track record of direct sales efforts in advertising, sponsorship or technical exhibits
  • Demonstrated ability to develop new sponsorship opportunities to fund organizational programs at annual meeting and year-round initiatives
  • Ability to use strategic thinking, creativity, good judgment, analytical problem-solving skills, and fiscal management to lead the department and implement corporate relations activities.
  • Customer-centric approach to building strong relationships with exhibitors and sponsors.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders including all levels of staff, industry personnel, and volunteers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior healthcare association experience, including advanced knowledge of physician-specific regulations for educational activities preferred.
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management systems. Salesforce preferred.
  • Experience in financial modeling and budgeting
  • Proven experience managing and developing staff
  • Travel to various meetings required including the RSNA annual meeting
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and flexible environment
