The RVNAhealth Dietitian plays a critical role in consulting with clients and patients to address their unique nutritional needs and developing specialized diets for optimal health. This position also supports the agency by presenting educational programs, collaborating with marketing for events and speaking engagements, and assisting agency clinicians in patient care as needed.

Responsibilities:

Community Engagement o Prepare for, attend, and actively participate in health and wellness events, offering services such as nutrition screening and mini-counseling. o Develop nutrition programs and presentations for community events.

Content Development o Develop nutrition-related articles for Agency print and electronic publications and the website. o Develop and customize educational and communication materials (e.g., forms, recipes) for clinical and community nutrition services.

·Client Care/Clinical Responsibilities: o Perform comprehensive nutrition assessments for home health and hospice with follow-up as needed, including: o Schedule, perform, prepare for, document, and bill for self-pay nutrition education and counseling services for individuals and groups.

Collaboration and Support o Collaborate with marketing and development departments to build business and promote the agency. o Support the agency at fundraising events, receptions, and other community partnership activities.

Quality Improvement o Participate in the agency's quality improvement process, including attending mandatory staff meetings. o Provide constructive feedback to improve agency performance.

Professional Conduct o Demonstrate punctuality and good attendance in accordance with HR policies. o Establish positive, respectful relationships with employees, volunteers, and the community. o Demonstrate computer literacy by effectively using electronic communication and entering information into agency systems accurately and timely.

Qualifications: · Currently licensed as a Registered Dietitian in the state of CT. · Demonstrated computer literacy, with the ability to problem solve. · Ability to teach others through the use of visual, auditory and kinesthetic methods. · Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. · Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently on projects. · Is self-directed and able to move from priority to priority independently.
