Shift: Day/Evenings, with alternating weekends and Holidays (As needed)

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC
Our Dietary Aides are responsible for food preparation, organization, and maintaining cleanliness. These duties are vital to keeping our patients, residents, employees, and even visitors well-fed. Some of the Dietary Aides' specific responsibilities include:
  • Preparing any requested surgery tray for the day
  • Filling food requisitions
  • Organizing to prepare for new deliveries and to remove outdated food
  • Cleaning the food preparation area and washing dishes
  • Dishing food during the tray line
Requirements
Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of food preparation sanitation and principles of serving safely
  • Experience in commercial or hospital food service is preferred
  • Facilitation skills to support and work cooperatively with staff, patients, and others
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral, in the English language
Essential Job Functions:
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Regularly required to stand, bend, stoop, and stretch
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
  • Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight
  • Requires lifting up to 50 pounds when needed
  • Must be able to move around the kitchen area
  • Must wear personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required in accordance with facility standards
Work Environment:
  • FCMC operates 24 hours per day each day of the year; operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of the patients
  • Employees work within proximity to moving mechanical parts and electrical equipment
  • Occasionally employees work in extreme hot or cold situations
