We have an immediate opening for a 2nd shift Diesel Technician for our Freightliner of Altoona dealership located in Duncansville, PA. Salary is $40,000-$100,000 per year.What Transteck Offers:Competitive pay rates based on experience and billable hoursState-of-the-art facilitiesBest-in-class training programs in our very own technical training centerThe chance to advance your technical and leadership skills through on-the-job training, growth, and development.You can keep your dirt at work - laundry service for your company-provided uniforms.Job specific PPEBoot allowancePrescription safety glassesGroup Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance401kLearn More to EARN More!Position Requirements:High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Valid driver's licenseMust provide own hand toolsPosition Preferences:Commercial Driving LicenseHeavy Duty truck experienceTechnical training school or equivalent experienceTechnician Duties:Determine cause of malfunction; use manufacturers approved troubleshooting guides, test drive, or refer to manufactures on-line or printed service manuals as necessary.Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs.Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment.Document work performed and applicable technical additional needed work and obtain approval before proceeding.Clean all parts that have been worked on and keep customer vehicles clean.Maintain housekeeping and organization of personal work area.Maintain tools and equipment.Order parts according to dealership procedures.Tag all warranty parts and return all dirty cores to parts in a timely manner.Perform repairs in a timely manner set by the manufacturers standard repair time guidelines.We are an equal opportunity employer.
