Priority Wire & Cable, a leading supplier of wire and cable in the U.S. and Canada, is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead owner and end user acceptance efforts around the country. This role will support our well-established electrical distribution channel and provide a focus on owners, engineers, and contractors. As a growing focus within Priority, the candidate will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in the development of relationships while working cross function to grow sales in all verticals.

The successful candidate is expected to serve as Priority’s in-house subject matter expert and must have experience with end user acceptance while demonstrating extensive knowledge of wire and cable applications across the multiple channels Priority covers.

Business Development Manager Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Priority leadership and regional management to identify opportunities and develop strategies that increase acceptance and demand of Priority’s vast offering.
Develop and maintain positive contractor, engineer, and owner relationships while becoming a resource for the organization to learn and develop in this area.
Conduct and attend industry events related to the electrical contractor and end user communities in alignment with regional management.
Promote new products with new and existing end user relationships through product promotions and training.
Share customer feedback and product suggestions to management team.
Set and track end-user targets while keeping aligned with company objectives.
Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume at identified targets along with opportunity.

· Initiate and conduct Priority warehouse tours to showcase company’s service platform, people, and culture.

· Work with Engineering group to position Priority Wire & Cable on strategic specifications.

Qualifications/Skills:

· Comfortable working remote

· Self-Driven

· Hands on

· Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

· Team Oriented; Must be able to work with teams, individual contributors, and executives while having the ability to influence, understand and collaborate.

· Ability to manage and prioritize projects and initiatives.

· Ability to travel 75% within, and occasionally outside the USA.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business or business-related discipline.
Minimum ten years’ experience in establishing relationships with end users and specifiers.
Sound understanding of copper and aluminum wire installs and applications.
Sound understanding of electrical distribution channel and demonstrated partnerships.
Metallurgy experience or understanding preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to travel by plane or automobile.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.

Requirements:
