Job Description
We are seeking a skilled C# Developer II to join our back-end team. You will be instrumental in developing RESTful APIs and modernizing legacy systems to support our industry-leading property estimation solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based frameworks, algorithms, and tools.
- Assist in modernizing legacy systems to enhance performance and scalability.
- Optimize software performance and troubleshoot performance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment to define, design, and implement new features.
- Investigate and resolve software defects and customer issues.
- Develop and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure software quality.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Utilize CI/CD systems to automate and improve deployment processes.
- Actively participate in team meetings and agile ceremonies (architecture discussions, refinements, retrospectives, demos, standups, etc.).
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry and team best practices.
- Engage in pair programming and code reviews to foster team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct manual quality assurance and participate in user testing as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (relevant technical experience may substitute for education).
- 2+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in C# and .NET technologies.
- Strong understanding of TCP, HTTP, RESTful services, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and design principles.
- Exposure to AWS and cloud-based services.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and principles.
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Azure DevOps.
- Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, Postgres) and NoSQL systems.
- Experience with automated testing and software verification (unit, integration).
- Understanding of distributed systems and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proactive approach to collaboration.
- Experience in optimizing and modernizing legacy systems.
- Familiarity with CQRS patterns.
- Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
