We are looking for a <strong>Desktop Support Technician</strong> to join the team! This is a unique, fantastic opportunity! This is a <strong>30-hour</strong>, <strong>direct hire</strong> position that is 1<strong>00% on-site</strong> in <strong>Hampshire, IL.</strong><br><br><strong>Description:</strong><br><ul><li>Provide general support for end users within the organization's desktop computing environment, including installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware, software, and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.</li><li>Provide both on-site interaction and over-the-phone support for all company employees, including technical troubleshooting, assistance, and guidance.</li><li>Work closely with the other IT staff to collaboratively ensure that all company IT initiatives are met successfully.</li><li>Research and resolve technical problems</li><li>Respond to escalated telephone, email and online requests for technical support</li><li>Regularly exercise discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, processes and techniques.</li><li>Provide on-site support for end user hardware and software issues in-person at Hampshire plant/office.</li><li>Provide remote support for end user hardware and software issues for other offices and off-site sales staff.</li><li>Support PC equipment and networking used for factory machines at Hampshire plant.</li><li>Responsible for installation and support of all multifunction and desktop office printers.</li><li>Oversee successful implementation of equipment during scheduled events.</li><li>Configure and support corporate iOS devices and VOIP desk phones.</li><li>Keep IT inventory up to date.</li></ul><br><strong>Requirements:</strong><br><ul><li><strong>Associate</strong> or <strong>bachelor's degree</strong> in computer science (from US accredited college).</li><li>A minimum 2-3 years of experience within IT or technical related field.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Windows operating system: <strong>Windows 10, Windows 11</strong>.</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office applications specifically <strong>Outlook, Word, Excel,</strong> and<strong> PowerPoint.</strong></li><li>Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve <strong>end user hardware</strong> and <strong>software</strong> issues.</li><li>Basic understanding of current technologies and the ability to learn new technology concepts.</li><li>Understanding of <strong>Windows networks, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS</strong> and <strong>DHCP</strong>.</li><li><strong>Microsoft Exchange clients</strong> using Outlook, smartphones, tablets, and OWA.</li><li>Ability to resolve issues using "best practices" techniques.</li><li>Hands-on experience of troubleshooting and fixing IT equipment.</li><li>Good knowledge of <strong>Active Directory</strong> and <strong>Windows Server 2016</strong> and<strong> 2019</strong>.</li><li><strong>CompTIA A+ or Network+, CCNA, certifications are a plus</strong>.</li></ul><br><strong>Details:</strong><br><ul><li>This is a <strong>part-time position, working 30 hours a week</strong> (with eligibility for full benefits). May require occasional extra hours and/or weekends, as needed.</li><li>This is <strong>100% on-site</strong> in Hampshire, IL.</li><li><strong>Shift: </strong>Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 1:00 pm</li><li>This is a <strong>direct hire</strong> position. <strong>LOCAL candidates only</strong>.</li><li><strong>Salary:</strong> $55K</li><li><strong>W-2 only; no C2C/B2C.
