<strong>Desktop Support Specialist</strong><br><br><strong>Ellsworth, Maine, United States</strong><br><br><strong>General Description </strong><br><br>Create and maintain operating system images, driver packages and task sequences in SCCM or MDT <br><br>Security update management using SCCM or WSUS <br><br>Working knowledge of OS deployment using SCCM & MDT <br><br>Windows Imaging & OS Deployment Customizing and creating WIM images, Exposure in ImageX, Windows PE, WAIK,ADK, Windows ICD & DISM tools <br><br>Requires detailed knowledge of Windows (Win 7/XP/VISTA/Windows 8/ Windows 10), windows registry, Applications, and computer drive imaging technologies and client platforms and related hardware. <br><br>Complete configuration, installation and support of equipment in an environment conducive to the specifications <br><br>Applying modifications and customizations to the OS through registry modifications <br><br>Develop/create and maintain Windows 10 and later desktop PC and laptop images, integrate and test software applications and upgrades, package and deploy base image and applications via SCCM <br><br>Develop and deploy scripting and automation for image and application deployment/operational and maintenance in support of production systems and workstations, including batch and PowerShell scripting, PXE, .msi development and modification <br><br>Knowledge of BitLocker and Encryption <br><br>Developing utilities and processes to optimize images and installation procedures <br><br>Develop and document design specification and build processes <br><br>Troubleshooting/debugging software and hardware problems related to the operating system or supporting applications, drivers, and services. <br><br>Full Understanding of downloading and and deploying software updates using SCCM 2012, Creating Packages, Applications, Task seqquences. Experience in creating and providing sccm database report. <br><br>Knowledge Microsoft Office and Office 365 Proplus Product suites and administration <br><br>Deploying SCCM OSD Task Sequences <br><br>Knowledge of Azure AD and Azure domain join <br><br>Define/test and certify client computing hardware standards and configuration for end users <br><br>Security hardening for Windows client operating systems <br><br>Knowledge to use Group Policy and System Center Configuration Manager to centrally deploy changes throughout the environment <br><br>Good Knowledge of Windows 10 operating system is a must <br><br>Solving Level 2 tickets <br><br>Technical Requirements <br><br><strong>Required Skills / Qualifications: </strong><br>&bull; Good Command on SCCM 2012 or later versions <br>&bull; Experience in Handling Windows Imaging Project <br>&bull; Good Command on ImageX or DISM tool, Dell Kace <br>&bull; Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT 2013) ,WDS,ADK, WAIK, Windows Imaging and Configuration Designer <br>&bull; Application Compatibility Toolkit <br>&bull; Windows System Image Manager <br>&bull; OSCDIMG,BCDBoot,etc <br>&bull; Windows Reinstallation Environment <br>&bull; User State Migration Tool(USMT) <br>&bull; Windows 7/8.1/10/2008R2/2012R2 <br>&bull; Backup and Disaster Recovery Solutions <br>&bull; Networking concepts including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, etc <br><br><strong>Soft Skills </strong><br><br>- Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written) <br><br>- Good documentation skills <br><br>- Good working knowledge of MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio) <br><br>- Should have a great customer handling skills <br><br>- Able to handle unforeseen situations <br><br>- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly in person, on the telephone and in written documents <br><br>- Good problem analysis and problem solving skills <br><br>- Strong customer focus and good teamwork skills <br><br><strong>Other Skills / Experience </strong><br>&bull; Experience in Linux/Unix platforms installation & imaging. <br>&bull; Experience in software development, processes, and methods <br>&bull; QA/Software Testing/Troubleshooting experience. <br>&bull; Years of Experience <br>&bull; Relevant 5-7 Years <br>&bull; Certification requirements <br>&bull; Preferred to have 70-680,70-698,70-697,70-698,70-689,70-692,70-687,70-688 <br>&bull; Compulsory MCSE/MCITP/MCSA/MCTS <br>&bull; Preferred to have 70-401(SCCM 2007) or 70-243(SCCM 2012)
