Job DescriptionLocation: Oak Park, IllinoisPosition Type: Full-TimeSchool Year: We are seeking a School-Based Physical Therapist for the upcoming school year!Job Responsibilities: Conduct Assessments: Evaluate students' motor skills, balance, coordination, and functional mobility to identify areas of need.Develop Treatment Plans: Create individualized physical therapy plans tailored to each student's specific needs and goals.Provide Therapy Services: Deliver direct physical therapy services, including exercises, activities, and use of adaptive equipment, to enhance students' physical abilities and independence.Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other professionals to integrate physical therapy goals into students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and daily activities.Monitor Progress: Track and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective outcomes.Educate and Train: Provide training and resources to school staff and families on techniques and strategies to support students' physical development and participation in school activities.Compliance: Ensure all therapy services comply with state and federal regulations, as well as school district policies.RequirementsMaster's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institutionPossess a valid Physical Therapy Illinois State LicensePrevious school experience is preferred, allowing you to hit the ground running and excel in this role.BenefitsWe value your expertise and believe in rewarding it appropriately.
