Overview
The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Creighton University School of Medicine (in partnership
with CHI Health and Creighton University Medical Center) seeks a nationally recognized, full-time,
tenure track Clinician-Investigator at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor to serve as the Chair of
the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery . This opportunity exists for a visionary leader to build and grow
an Orthopaedic Surgery residency program in all of its domains. The Chair will collaborate with
outstanding colleagues in a forward-thinking and dynamic academic and business model.

Qualified candidates will have a record of significant academic and clinical accomplishments with a
history of peer-reviewed publications and consistent research productivity. Experience in program
building and funded research is desirable. Candidates should have experience mentoring trainees and
junior faculty, have outstanding teaching and clinical skills, and be comfortable working in a highly
matrixed organization. The Chair should be an exceptional surgeon and active clinically. Candidates
must be certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and have experience within an ACGME
accredited training program.

The Orthopaedic Surgery program will be developing an active residency program with 10-15 residents
and faculty members. The start date is negotiable and the position will stay open until filled.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Care:

Qualifications
  • American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
  • A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
Pay Range
$384.62 - $576.92 /hour
