Description Lifepoint Rehabilitation, a business unit of Lifepoint Health, is building a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in west side of Jacksonville, North Florida Rehabilitation Hospital. This two-story, 60,582-square-foot hospital, expected to open in 2024, will sit on 5.55 acres at southwest Normandy Boulevard and Interstate 295. The new hospital will have all private rooms and focus on acute rehabilitation for patients who suffer from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, multiple trauma, amputation and other injuries or disorders. It will also feature multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums with therapeutic technologies that include augmented-reality balance training, therapy bionics and a full-body exoskeleton. Our Benefits: * Tuition assistance/reimbursement * Expansive benefit package * Professional development and advancement opportunities * Targeted approach to career development * Strong interdisciplinary teamwork opportunities * Superior quality patient outcomes * Supportive leadership and culture * CEU Support * State-of-the-art equipment What you will do in this role: Education RN Job Specific: * Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates education programs and orientation of staff, students, volunteers and contracted nursing staff * Consistently provides input into individual staff development during the orientation process and on an ongoing basis * Designs individualized orientations based upon specific position and assessment of competency * Evaluates educational needs of staff through various methods including QI programs, safety occurrence monitoring, changes in patient population served, and annual needs assessment * Other duties as assigned Infection Control Job specific: * Drives and assumes ownership of Infection Control Plan and activities in the hospital * Functions as the content expert on Infection Prevention and Control for the hospital including determining course of action, planning, implementing and ensuring compliance to the plan * Assures systems are in place to report infection surveillance, prevention and control information to: * appropriate staff in the hospital * federal, state and local public health authorities in accordance with law and regulation * accrediting bodies * other referring or receiving hospitals or organizations needing information regarding the presence of infection in a patient received or transferred * Assists in identifying, monitoring and controlling outbreaks of nosocomial infection among patient and hospital personnel * Other duties as assigned Qualifications * Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. Bachelors or Masters strongly preferred * Current state licensure as Registered Nurse * Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating, evaluating and/or directing educational activities of clinical personnel * Minimum of 2 years' experience as a bedside RN * CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred North Florida Rehabilitation Hospital will have all private rooms and focus on acute rehabilitation for patients who suffer from stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, complex neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, multiple trauma, amputation and other injuries or disorders. We will also feature multidisciplinary therapy gymnasiums outfitted with the latest therapeutic technologies, including augmented-reality balance training, therapy bionics and a full-body exoskeleton. Additionally, it will include a therapeutic courtyard with exterior amenities to support patient care and help patients return to daily living activities.
