Job Description The primary responsibility of the Driver is to transport crew members to and from the port(s), medical facilities, and/or hotels. Assists with crew luggage, picks up and drops off materials, and performs general preventative maintenance checks on vehicles. In this role the Driver is responsible for driving to the port and back with Cargo items, such as motors. Job Functions: * Transport shipboard and shoreside personnel in a safe and professional manner * Effectively communicate with the main office and other drivers as necessary to coordinate the pick-up and drop off of crew and/or material. * Maintain and update gasoline logs and operational daily documents * Daily completion of vehicle maintenance inspection report prior to vehicle usage * Show care and respect to all while interacting with guests, crew, and vendors * Must be able to navigate vehicle efficiently with use of GPS * Diligent attention to safety always * Perform other job-related functions as assigned by management Required for all Jobs: * Performs other duties assigned * Complies with all policies and standards Qualifications: * Education: High School diploma or GED required * Work Experience: 1+ years experience and sage driver with an excellent driving record required. Excellent customer service skills required. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Excellent communication skills * Friendly and pleasant demeanor * Must be detail oriented * Good customer services skills Licenses & Certifications: * CDL Group A Commercial Drivers License upon hire required * CDL Group B Commercial Drivers License upon hire required * No moving traffic violations within the last (2) years upon hire required * Must possess valid driver's license appropriate for the position upon hire required Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds. May need to stand for long periods of time. Travel: No travel Work Conditions: Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery. May be requested to work a different shift. This position is classified as "in-office." Because of the nature of the role, employees are required to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida five days each week. Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.
