A bit about us:

As a Sr. Tax Accountant with Our Client you will be responsible for review and preparation of various entity and individual tax returns, supervision and training of staff, as well as creating and maintaining client relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

· Plan and direct corporate, individual, and partnership tax engagements.

· Review moderate level tax returns including forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, 1041, etc.

· Identify tax issues and provide tax planning advice to a diverse client base.

· Supervise, develop, and train members of our tax practice.

· Focus on the management of client relationships to ensure the delivery of exceptional client services.

· Prepare and review quarterly and annual income tax provisions; identify and document uncertain tax positions.

· Perform and review technical tax research, analysis, and written memorandum.

· Assist clients with the management of federal and state tax audits and negotiate tax positions.

· Work directly with the firm’s leadership to support the many operational elements of the firm’s tax services, including thought leadership, quality control, and training and development.

· Ensure exceptional client service by delivering the highest quality results, and providing forward-thinking advice and suggestions on relevant matters in a manner that is timely and straightforward.

· Responsible for leading a team of staff-level positions and ensuring proper execution of assignments.

· Other duties as assigned

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Senior Associate to join our fast-paced finance team. As a Tax Senior Associate, you will be responsible for managing tax compliance, tax planning, and advisory services to a variety of clients. This role requires a deep understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to deliver innovative tax solutions. Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and review complex tax returns (1120, 1120S, 1065, 1040, 1041) ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
2. Conduct thorough tax audits and provide recommendations based on findings.
3. Collaborate with the tax team to develop and implement effective tax planning strategies for clients.
4. Provide tax advisory services, including mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, business restructuring, and other corporate tax matters.
5. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure the company and clients are in compliance.
6. Assist in financial reporting and analysis, providing insights to management for decision-making purposes.
7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a supportive and learning environment.
8. Liaise with tax authorities and represent clients in tax disputes, if necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA or Master's degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate tax, tax compliance, and tax planning.
3. Proficient in tax forms 1120, 1120s, 1065, 1040, 1041.
4. Strong knowledge of state and business tax planning.
5. Excellent financial analysis and financial modeling skills.
6. In-depth understanding of tax laws and regulations.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strategic approach to tax planning and compliance.
8. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
9. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
11. Proficiency in using tax software and other relevant computer applications.
