CACS Head Start and Early Head Start is hiring a full time Home Visitor. The rate of pay for a Home Visitor with a CDA or an Associates is $21.86 per hour, with a Bachelors is $22.38 per hour, and with a Masters is $23.91 per hour.

CACS works toward eliminating the causes and conditions of poverty in Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, and Shiawassee Counties by providing programs in childhood education, nutrition, weatherization, housing, and financial counseling. Our ultimate goal is to provide the services and support for individuals to achieve their own definition of success and quality of life.

Job Summary

The Home Visitor performs a variety of duties designed to support each child's social, emotional, intellectual, language, and physical development in a manner appropriate to their age, stage of development, and based in sound infant mental health practices. Communicates regularly with each child's family to help them understand and support their child's development. Works with other staff and team members to refer children and families for additional services. Conducts weekly Home Visits with up to 12 families. Maintains confidentiality and accurate records on each child's progress.

Qualifications

Education :

Home Based CDA

OR

Associate's Degree (Home Visitor I)- Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Development with 12 or more credits in Family Services.

Bachelor's Degree or higher (Home Visitor II) - Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Development with 12 or more credits in Family Services.

OR

Associate's Degree (Home Visitor I)- Family Services with 12 or more credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.

Bachelor's Degree or higher (Home Visitor II) - Family Services with 12 or more credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.

Experience:

A minimum of one year of related experience in education or child development with infants and toddlers is preferred

Position Duties/Responsibilities

Develop and implement a weekly written lesson plan and provide an organized program according to the identified curriculum.

Maintain updated observations and anecdotal notes to document each child's progress.

Maintain child records, lesson plans, and inventory of equipment and materials.

Develop an ongoing weekly individualization plan for each child based on needs and strengths identified through screening, assessment, and from the input from specialists and parents.

Provides direct and indirect referral services to families and records information.

Assist families as they identify their strengths and needs and help develop a plan to meet those needs (Family Partnership Plan).

Complete weekly Home Visits as assigned.
