Mass General Brigham is seeking a per diem / prn nurse RN Clinic Infusion for a per diem / prn nursing job in Newton, Massachusetts. Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of nursing care. The RN administers nursing care within the scope of hospital policies and procedures, Massachusetts state regulations and standards of practice issued by The American Nurses Association and other professional organizations. Collaborate/cooperate with nursing staff and other hospital and health care personnel to promote health, to the optimal level of wellness for patients, families and the community. Current MA RN license required. Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience is required. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required for ALL departments. Job Knowledge and Skills Education, and Experience Training, Certifications and/or Registrations All Departments Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and conflict management skills required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required Bachelor degree in nursing, preferred Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting 3 years’ experience in ambulatory oncology nursing strongly preferred Minimum one year experience administering chemotherapy single agent and multi drug regimen in the outpatient setting required Thorough assessment skills and knowledge of Hematology/Oncology disease pathophysiology, acute and chronic side effects of treatment required Knowledge and experience in medical oncology nursing required, unless otherwise noted in job posting CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment Evidence of continued education and professional development Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred Oncology Nursing Certification (OCN) or obtained within first year of hire required Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Administration Certification Card required Recruiter: Beaulieu, Meghann L.
