Due to our continued growth, Handex is currently seeking a Vac Operator/Field Technician to service our customers in the Central Florida region. You will be responsible for performing vac services.

Handex Consulting & Remediation, LLC (Handex) is a full-service environmental company focused on providing professional environmental consulting, remediation, construction, emergency response and sludge dewatering services in the United States. Founded in 1968, we have over 50+ years of experience and have no intentions of slowing down!

What will be my responsibilities?

•Represent Handex in a courteous and professional manner at customer sites.

•Operate and maintain vac equipment and adhere to all compliance and safety guidelines.

•Remove and clean all equipment before leaving job site to ensure a safe environment at all times.

•Set up and operate vacuum hose, water gun, lance, jackhammers, picks, shovels and other equipment necessary to complete job safely.

•Assigned to various projects in the Greater Orlando and Central Florida region and potentially other areas in Florida as we expand.

•Maintain a flexible working schedule of 60% days and 40% nights.

Requirements

Skills needed for success:

•Daily travel to client project sites in the Greater Orlando/Central Florida region as well as other areas as we expand.

•High School education or GED required.

•TWIC Card and OSHA 40 a plus.

•Hydro Vac/Vac experience highly desired. We will train too!

•Willingness to assist with other projects and develop new skills.

•Positive and a can do mindset with the ability to follow directions, digest feedback and make sound decisions.

•Customer service oriented and a team player who works well with others internally and externally.

•Ability to move up to 50 Lbs and comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, noise and in all types of weather conditions.

•Willingness to work OT as needed as well as some nights and weekends for projects throughout Florida.

•Ability to pass background checks: criminal/physical/drug/alcohol/DMV required.
