JOB SUMMARY:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for maintaining quality, production and safety standards on the production floor. Additionally it is his/her responsibility to ensure production lines are running efficiently to achieve the established productivity standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Inventory & Production - Oversees the movements of raw materials and finished goods between the production floor and shipping department ensuring accuracy of product count. Makes necessary adjustments to inventory utilizing Company database systems. Determines whether defects are vendor or manufacturing, making appropriate system transactions to adjust inventory.

•Organizing & Planning - Responsible for creating the daily production schedule.

•Product Inspection - Inspects all components and raw materials during manufacturing for compliance with Company and customer product specifications and requirements. Makes determination to release components for production or delivery. Develops and follows sampling plans by applying variable and sequential sampling methods. Inputs all information collected into the database and prepares a report on the data collected.

•Equipment Inspection - Responsible for scheduled inspection of essential production equipment, and working with on-shift maintenance as well as the maintenance manager to develop PM schedules and necessary maintenance repairs.

•Spreadsheet Reporting - Responsible for maintaining excel spreadsheets, tracking quality and productivity that will be communicated to all shifts.

•Communication - Must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing employees, Supervisors and Managers.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

•Associates or Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience required.
•A minimum of 2 years manufacturing industry experience
•2+ years previous supervisory experience.
•Advanced computer skills.
•Basic math skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

•Able to occasionally carry, push or pull objects weighing up to and including 35 pounds.
•Able to ambulate or stand eight hours a day.
•Able to operate a pallet jack.
•Manual dexterity to perform keyboard functions.
