Project Manager (PMP) in Harrisburg, PA.
While this role will be based in Harrisburg it can be remote within a 6 hours radius.
We are seeking a motivated highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience managing projects – preferably projects in the areas of application development, information technology and/or GIS technology. Must thrive in a high energy environment, excel at working without significant supervision, be independently motivated, outgoing, diplomatic, detailed, schedule driven and accountable.
Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of small to medium sized projects – schedule, budget, scope, client, team, etc.
Facilitate meetings with project team and clients; prepare meeting agendas and document meeting minutes
Review project deliverables for accuracy and completeness
Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary project teams made up of software developers, business analysts, GIS analysts, technical managers, and business subject matter experts
Prepare status reports
Track project progress against approved baselines (schedule and budget)
Maintain Action Item, Issue and Risk Logs
Ensure ISO and process methodology compliance for projects
Resolve problems within working teams and with clients
Lead and mentor staff - project managers and/or business analysts
Author task orders and support proposal development activities
Qualifications:
4 year degree, B.A., B.S.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading small to medium sized projects, preferably in a consulting/professional services environment
Ability to professionally and confidently interface with all levels of personnel and management
Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills
Excellent written communication
Experience with MS Office Suite
Project Management Certification(s)
Experience managing agile projects
Preferred Technical Skills and Qualifications
Prior experience working with state government clients especially Departments of Transportation (DOTs)
Familiarity with GIS and/or geospatial technology
Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects
MS Project or similar scheduling tool experience
