Responsibilities and Job Details:

Develop and implement engaging English as a Second Language (ESL) curriculum tailored to meet the needs of students.
Provide instruction in English language acquisition, literacy, and language development, utilizing both on-site and virtual platforms.
Collaborate with colleagues, families, and community stakeholders to support students' linguistic and academic growth.
Comfortably integrate ASL and Portuguese into instructional practices to meet the diverse needs of students.
Participate in Extended School Year (ESY) programs and activities as required.

Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience teaching ESL, preferably in a K-6 setting.
Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) and Portuguese preferred.
Experience working with diverse student populations and English Language Learners (ELLs).

Education and Licensure:

Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license in ESL.
Bachelor's degree in Education, ESL, Linguistics, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.

Job Specifics:

Full-time position for the 2024-2025 academic year, including Extended School Year (ESY) programming.
Open to both on-site and virtual instruction, with flexibility in scheduling.
Liability insurance may be required for independent contractors.
