Job Overview:
We are currently seeking skilled Cyber Security Consultants to join our team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in enhancing cyber security across different domains, collaborating with internal and external experts. From offensive assessments to compliance oversight and research, this role offers a dynamic and challenging environment for cyber security professionals. The role would report to locations in Richmond and southern Virginia.
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with system engineers and domain experts in various cyber security roles.
  • Perform offensive assessments, engineering/design, implementation, verification, compliance oversight, and research.
  • Work with internal and external engineering teams to raise cyber security awareness and understanding.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and information sharing efforts with other cyber security personnel to foster team knowledge and capabilities.
  • Provide support for technical project work in detailed technology areas as needed.


Key Tasks:

  • Analyze Windows-based systems, networks, and interfaces for compliance with general standards.
  • Reconfigure systems as required to meet cyber security requirements.
  • Validate external logical and physical connections.
  • Map on-site topology and ensure engineering drawings match actual hardware implementation.
  • Create comprehensive hardware and software inventories.
  • Identify non-essential and vulnerable software.
  • Verify and activate logging capabilities as required.
  • Identify remote access tools and configurations.
  • Review software and equipment for lifecycle management parameters.
  • Develop temporary mitigation and upgrade plans as required.
  • Verify malware prevention presence and configuration.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in cyber security roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows-based systems and network security.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
