Position Summary
The pharmacy technician performs many of the technical duties of the pharmacist under the direction of the pharmacist and subject to verification in accordance with state and federal law.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • License in good standing with the Oregon Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
  • Computer skills for order entry, word processing, spread sheets
  • Experience or training in Sterile Products Preparation
  • Knowledge of automated drug distribution systems and nomenclature
Essential Job Functional
  • Control drug accountability and inventory management
  • Automated drug distribution
  • Sterile products preparation and daily IV systems management
  • Performs computer order entry, billing, word processing
  • Productivity and workflow management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Healthcare specific software
  • Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity, problem analysis and decision making
