Medical Asst (Full-Time)

Primary Responsibilities:This position is responsible for preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and recording information in patients' charts. Drawing and collecting blood samples from patients and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis may also be required.This position may also assist with some off-site occupational medicine clinics and administrative tasks as necessary.Skills & Abilities:Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and be able to interact professionally with a diverse populationWillingness to be flexible in daily assignmentsMust have above average computer skillsDemonstrate emotional maturity and the ability to function effectively under stressPossess the ability to maintain effective, positive working relationshipsAbility to efficiently complete tasks in a timely manner without direct supervisionPossess attention to detail and good organizational skillsWillingness to cross-train and work as part of the team to complete tasksAnswering phones, scheduling, appointmentsEducation, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience:High School diploma or equivalentMedical Assistant certification, preferredPrevious experience with occupational medicine, preferredAt least 1 year experience working in a medical clinicFamiliarity working with EMR systems, preferredPrevious experience in customer service
