Job Description Summary
The Surgical Technologist extern - reports to the nurse manager. Under direct supervision of the Certified Surgical Tech/Scrub nurse the extern functions as a member of the operating room team to prepare sterile supplies and equipment used in the surgical procedures and perform appropriate room duties involved with direct patient care with adherence to established procedural guideline. This position demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide care and service appropriate to the level of development of patients, with consideration of the needs of patients' families.

Education: Must be a student of an accredited program of surgical technology who has completed two semesters, going into third clinical rotation
Experience: Must be a student of an accredited program of surgical technology who has completed two semesters, going into third clinical rotation
Licenses/Certificates: AHA BLS Certification
