CT Technologist

We are growing our team and seeking a skilled PRN CT Technologist to join our RAYUS SE Florida team. As a PRN CT Technologist, you will have the flexibility to pick up extra hours when you can, while enjoying a work-life balance and growth opportunities.

As a PRN CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing CT imaging procedures, maintaining patient records, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will also assist with scanning department support, including maintaining imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.

• Patient CT Imaging (90%):
  • Screen patients before exams for any precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explain and prepare patients for scanning imaging procedures, explaining the procedure and positioning patients for optimal results.
  • Perform routine and advanced scanning imaging procedures on designated portions of the body, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
  • Adjust scanning scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
  • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring customers, and other associates and peers.
  • Follow physicians' orders precisely and conform to safety regulations to protect patients, coworkers, and yourself.
  • Accurately maintain patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area, promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers.
  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment after each use, ensuring compliance with all HIPAA guidelines.
• Scanning Department Support (5%):
  • Assist with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and request supplies as necessary.
  • Assist with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise as applicable.
• Completes other tasks as assigned (5%):
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
