The CardioVascular Center (CVC) at Tufts is seeking a Noninvasive Cardiologist with experience/expertise in Cardio-Oncology and Echocardiography to join our faculty.

Division of Cardiology Overview:

Integrated Healthcare: Tufts Medical Center, with over 700 affiliated doctors, is part of the Tufts Medicine Health System.

Team Driven: The CVC is comprised of a dynamic grouping of physicians involved in growing clinical programs across Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery.

Research Based: Cardiology research has a proven impact on patient care and outcomes. Specifically, the Divisions participate in the Cardiovascular Center for Research and Innovation as well as the Medical Center’s Molecular Cardiology Research Institute. Our cardiovascular research programs receive substantial funding of $63 million to support clinical and basic research.

Education: Our faculty are full-time academic staff members at Tufts University School of Medicine.

Nationally Recognized: Our staff is amongst the nations’ leaders in bringing advances in cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment. With one of the largest heart transplant programs in the country, Tufts achieved a record 61 transplants in 2023. Innovations include non-invasive monitoring of transplant rejection and expanded donor pool through circulatory death transplantation.

Responsibilities:

The Cardiologist will work with the Division of Cardiology and the CardioVascular Center at Tufts Medical Center in downtown Boston.

  • Transforming patient care . Provide care for patient with both out-patient and in-patient clinical service time, with a focus on out-patient Cardio-Oncology, General Cardiology and also Echocardiography.

  • Teamwork. Partner with Advanced Heart Failure, Hematology/Oncology and many other collaborators.

  • State of the art. Access to some of the newest technologies like our hybrid OR and cutting-edge treatments

Requirements:

BC/BE in Cardiovascular Diseases. Cardio-Oncology experience and/or training. A Level III training in echocardiography as well as current or anticipated Board Certification in Echocardiography. Substantial experience with transthoracic and transesophageal echo (including imaging for guidance of interventional procedures, a rapidly growing area), stress echo, and techniques such as strain and 3D echocardiography. Experience with echocardiographic imaging and guidance of structural interventions is useful but not required. Additional experience and training in coronary CT angiography and/or cardiac MRI would be useful but not required. Interest in seeing general clinical cardiology and/or valve patients, doing in-patient attending clinical service. Interest and experience in academics highly desirable, with substantial opportunities for teaching

Compensation:

Tufts Medicine offers a competitive salary commensurate with academic training and practice experience. A Tufts University School of Medicine appointment will be offered commensurate with academic qualifications.
